Muiz Olayiwola is a Nigerian emerging actor and digital content creator known professionally as Otunba. He gained wider attention through his lead role in Dokita Musa, a Nigerian feature film directed by Lanre Obisesan.
Beyond acting, Olayiwola creates comedy videos on Instagram and TikTok. He also appears in comedic content with his father, veteran Yoruba actor Olayiwola Maroof, popularly known as Ajan’Badan Celebrate. His combination of social media entertainment and film acting places him among the newer faces attracting attention in Nollywood.
Muiz Olayiwola Early Life and Background
Detailed public information about Muiz Olayiwola’s date of birth, age, education and early childhood remains limited. For that reason, specific claims about his birth date or academic history should not be treated as established facts.
What is publicly clear is his connection to the Nigerian entertainment industry through his family. Olayiwola is the son of actor Olayiwola Maroof, whose long career in Yoruba entertainment gave Muiz an early connection to the world of performance.
However, his career does not depend entirely on that family connection. He has developed his own audience through comedy content while also pursuing acting opportunities.
Muiz Olayiwola’s Father
Muiz Olayiwola’s father is Olayiwola Maroof, popularly known as Ajan’Badan Celebrate. Maroof is an established Yoruba actor, making Muiz part of a family with existing links to Nollywood.
The younger Olayiwola has also appeared alongside his father in comedy videos. This gives audiences an opportunity to see their relationship beyond traditional film acting and has helped connect his online persona with his entertainment career.
Rather than simply following his father’s path, Muiz has developed a presence across social media and film. That combination gives him a distinct route into the current Nigerian entertainment space.
How Muiz Olayiwola Started His Career
Olayiwola has built part of his public profile through digital comedy. His content on Instagram and TikTok includes solo comedy videos as well as collaborations with his father.
Social media has become an important entry point for young Nigerian entertainers because it allows performers to develop audiences before securing major film roles. For Olayiwola, that digital presence became an additional part of his identity as he moved into professional acting.
His transition from online entertainment to a feature-film lead represents an important step in his developing career.
Muiz Olayiwola in Dokita Musa
The major acting credit in Muiz Olayiwola’s biography is Dokita Musa. The film, written and directed by Lanre Obisesan, follows a young boy living in a Nigerian village who dreams of becoming a cardiologist despite poverty, family difficulties and other challenges.
Olayiwola plays the title character, Musa. The official film production describes him as its lead actor and identifies him as an emerging film star.
The film received its world premiere at the Dance With Films Festival in Los Angeles on June 27, 2025, at the TCL Chinese Theatre. Its cast includes Olayiwola alongside established performers such as Muyiwa Ademola, Tina Mba and Peju Wahab.
The role gave Olayiwola an opportunity to carry a feature film rather than appear only as a supporting performer. That distinction makes Dokita Musa an important point in his transition from digital entertainment into more substantial screen acting.
Muiz Olayiwola’s Acting Career
Although Dokita Musa remains the clearest documented feature-film role associated with Olayiwola, his career is still developing. His public profile currently contains much more information about his emergence and digital work than about a long list of completed film credits.
That limited filmography should not be confused with a lack of potential. His move into a lead role at an early stage gives him an important platform from which to pursue additional productions.
His experience in comedy may also prove useful as his acting career develops. Comedy requires timing, expression and an understanding of audience reaction, while film acting demands greater control over character and emotion. Moving between both forms of entertainment can give a young performer useful practical experience.

The 2025 drama serves as his most significant documented screen project so far. Dance With Films lists Olayiwola among the principal cast, while the film’s official website identifies him as the lead actor.
As his acting career progresses, additional credits can be added as productions receive reliable public documentation.
Muiz Olayiwola Net Worth
Muiz Olayiwola’s net worth is not reliably established in public records. No credible financial disclosure provides a verified figure for his earnings, assets or total wealth.
Online estimates that attach a specific monetary value to his net worth should therefore be treated cautiously. His work in acting and social media may generate income, but there is not enough reliable information to calculate his total earnings.
For a young entertainer at this stage of his career, his growing screen profile is more useful to document than an unsupported financial estimate.
Why Muiz Olayiwola Is a Rising Nollywood Star
Muiz Olayiwola fits the profile of an emerging Nollywood talent because his professional acting career remains in an early development phase. His transition from comedy content into a lead role in a feature film gives his career a clear progression.
Dokita Musa is particularly important because it placed him at the centre of a serious Nigerian drama and gave him international festival exposure. The film’s Los Angeles premiere introduced the production to an audience outside Nigeria while placing Olayiwola among its principal cast.
His social media work adds another dimension to his career. By creating comedy content on Instagram and TikTok, he can continue developing an audience while pursuing opportunities in film.
